In 1964, Syd Barrett joined the band that would become Pink Floyd. After a few member and name changes, Pink Floyd recorded their debut album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Syd Barrett’s behavior became erratic and unusual, and he was replaced by David Gilmore. Syd Barrett recorded two solo albums in 1970 before deciding to stay out of the limelight for good.
